Transport around town:
- Bus: The bus comes right down Dogwood, stopping right in front of the DiveSafe office making it one block away from you!
- BIKE: The Beaver Lodge Lands provide a great biking path to explore and can take you all the way out to Willow Point
- Car Share: Students often share rides with the other students at the guesthouse. While that won't be a concern for the classroom once you're down at the marina you will need access to wheels, and carpool with other students is a great way to do so.
DUTY Students:
- Students are responsible for the cleanliness of the guesthouse.
- Housekeeping tasks will be assigned in rotation throughout your stay.
- As a commercial diver, you are expected to keep your gear and personal items organized and tidy. You may be working on a boat, with two or three crew mates... or staying in a camp. At the guesthouse, you are also expected to be part of the chores to keep the house tidy and clean, and a duty list is posted weekly. This is all part of the real life experience of becoming a professional commercial diver.
- Chores are assigned and rotate during the length of your stay.
