Commercial diving is a catch-all term that describes a professional who is paid to go underwater to perform specific tasks. There is a multitude of industries that require commercial divers right across Canada, and many job opportunities for commercial divers right here in British Columbia!

Commercial divers may spend days or even weeks on-site, especially for offshore or media projects, but they tend to have lots of days off in-between. Here on Vancouver Island, many divers work in the aquaculture industry, harvesting geoduck and shellfish.
