Professional SCUBA Diver

15 wk program - Triple Certifications!

This course will give the graduate multiple certifications to the CSA standards for an Unrestricted Occupational Scuba Diver, Commercial NITROX Diver, Dive Accident Management, 1st aid for divers as well as openwater diver, up to DIVEMASTER.   And with the additional courses in Restricted Surface Supply you will be well prepared to work in both the commercial and recreational dive industries.

Type of dive careers available for graduates of the program:

Scientific diving, search and recovery ,  aquaculture diving, seafood harvesting, engineering and environmental inspections, archaeological investigation, public safety diving, police operations, small vessel maintenance and underwater film/video production… as well as international travel and work in these exciting areas of the dive industry…

…dive resort work, dive Charters, resort owner, dive retail, dive charters, dive tourism, assistant to the Dive Instructor, dive marketing and more…

Key Course Information:

Course length: 15 weeks (Duration 434 hours)

  • Course hours: Fulltime 8:30am – 4:30 pm (Monday to Friday- some weekend and evening work)

Course Pre-requisites:

Course pre requisites

  • Complete a CSA Divers Medical and be certified as "Fit for Diving" by a DCBC recognized Physician by week 3 of the program.
  • Complete a PADI Divers Medical
  • Be 18 years of age

Note:  Tuition fees are tax exempt.  T2202A CRA tax forms will be sent to students in February after their graduating year.
