Course Content
This two-in-one course covers the occupational dive theory outlined in CSA Z275.5 which includes elements of supervising, motivation and communication, legal responsibilities, health and safety, site emergencies and accident investigation, dive accident management, and management planning. Upon completion, graduates receive their Dive Accident Management Certification.

- Module 4: Occupational Health and Safety regulations
- Module 5: Health and Safety
- Module 6: Emergencies and accident investigation
- Module 7: Dive Accident prevention/planning and management.

Pre-requisites
To achieve DCBC supervisor status, there are four components to complete. This course meets the requirement for component four, but you may choose to take this course without any pre-requisites.
Required components to apply for CSA/DCBC Dive Supervisor Certification:
- 1. Copies of 100 logged commercial dives over a minimum of 3 years*
- 2. Documented supervisor trainee experience of 16 supervisor dives under the direction of a qualified USS supervisor.*
- 3. Documented proof of 3 mock(sham) incidents as a Trainee Supervisor under direct observation of a qualified USS Supervisor.
- 4. Formal Dive Supervisor training taught to CSA Z275.5 by an authority recognized by DCBC (ie Kelly Korol at DIVESAFE International)
Lacking requirements for points two or three? We can arrange a two-day program to fulfill the requirements at an additional fee.
* Consult DCBC regulations for the most up-to-date information. Requirements may be less for RSS and Occupational/Commercial SCUBA candidates.
* Points 1-3 must be completed in the field and documented in a professional diver’s logbook.
Course Fees

This course does not require approval by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, skills & training. As it is considered a "short course". As such, the registrar did not review this program. This course is accepted by PTIB and authorized by DCBC (Diver Certification Board of Canada)
