ADVENTURES in CAMPBELL RIVER and local areas....

FISHING: Campbell River is known as "The Salmon Capital of Canada" - find out why with a fishing trip while you're here!   There are lots of fishing guides, so take your pick!

FLY FISHING:  we have the amazing Roderick Haig Brown House and his favourite river to fly fish.  CHeck it all out.

SKIING:  ski bums rejoice!  Mt Washington is a fantastic  world class ski hill and a well kept secret.  And you can actually see the Straight of Georgia all the way to POWELL River from  the top of the mountain.

HIKING:  Hiking abounds in Campbell River and the Island.  Every weekend could be a new adventure.

CAVING:  so many cool caves to explore!  UPANA are the most accessible... with guided maps to each cave and linking underground tunnels.  

SURFING:  Head to Tofino and Long Beach for a laid back weekend or two...  an amazing drive...and meet tourists, surfers and adventurers from all over the world...

LAKES and RIVERS to SWIM in:  pristine lakes, crystal clear rivers and waterfalls to soak in...  it's all here.

OLD ENGLAND:  you have to get to Victoria when you are here...  breweries, pubs, night life...it's an exciting city

CUMBERLAND: mountain biking galore,  both throughout the trails of CUMBERLAND and Campbell RIver but also ride the chair to the top of Mt Washington....

ROCK CLIMBING:  hit the cliffs for some outdoor excitement combined with fossil hunting...  pop into the local climbing gym...just down the street and they can get you a map and rental gear.  

STORM WATCHING:  us locals love a good storm.... hunker down at the local pub or head out to Tofino for some truly cool wave action.

BEARS:  our salmon bearing streams attract bears, bears and bears....  sneak up to the local hatchery to get some close up views in the fall.

SWIM with the SALMON:  tourists come from all over the world to experience this exciting river swim.  You can do it any time you like...  grab your dive suit,  fins, mask and snorkel and float down the Campbell River.  It's an amazing ride...
