Commercial Nitrox course - commenced 8th October, 2008

Todays Log Oct 10, 2008: The students blended up two nitrox tanks for todays dives. A 32% mix and a 36% mix. We'll head up to Maude Island and the wreck of HMCS Columbia for two dives and then head back to the classroom for the final exam.

COMMERCIAL DIVE COURSES:
Commercial SCUBA: DiveSafe Intl. meets and exceeds CSA standard for the Unrestricted Occupational Scuba Diver.This 5 week course will get you out working in the commercial diving field fast! You can work as an underwater movie maker, a seafood harvesting diver, an aquaculture diver, environmental survey diver etc…
Commercial Nitrox: The Commercial Nitrox course is 3 days. The student learns how to blend Nitrox and use Nitrox for commercial scuba diving.
Oxygen Therapy for Divers: The Oxygen Therapy course is 4 hours. Graduates receive a Red Cross Certificate in Oxygen Therapy.
Dive Accident Management:New! 1 Day Dive Accident Management Refresher course. $90. Otherwise: The Dive Accident Management Course is 12 hours. Topics include water rescue, basic diving medicine, care of a diving patient. This course and certificate is included in the Commercial Scuba Course and the Surface Supply Course.
Underwater VIDEO Production: Underwater Video Production is fun and exciting. The course will teach you the basics of movie making, video editing and equipment use. BOth the Commercial SCUBA Diver course and the Inshore Surface Supply course includes extensive use of video equipment.
Environmental Survey Diving: This program is for the environmentalist in all of us. The course teaches the diver proper environmental survey techniques and environmental sensitivity when scuba diving or commercial diving.
Surface Supply Diving: 180 hours, DiveSafe Intl. works with North Island College to train Surface Supply Divers. This course is the longest running Commercial Surface Supply course in BC.
